What is the difference between a life coach and a therapist?

Therapists look at a person's past experiences in order to diagnose and medically treat a client’s deeper emotional issues. While life coaches focus on the present, developing actionable steps to help clients reach a practical goal. As a life coach, I don’t prescribe medication; instead, choose to focus on taking approachable steps towards positive changes in their personal or professional life.

What is an icebreaker session and who are they for?

An icebreaker session is for anyone willing to commit. We use this initial session to get to know one another and see where you’re at in your journey and what your current obstacles are. From there we will design a plan and how we can collectively help you achieve your goal with the proper support and strategy.

Can I hire you for a short-term or a particular issue?

Of course, it all varies on your goal and where you’re at. Some clients only require three months or may need long-term coaching. From the icebreaker session we will determine what the best fit is for you, including frequency of sessions.

Do you take insurance?

While I do not take insurance, I do work with cooperating companies whose HR offer coverage to coaching as health and well-being. I can work with individuals as well as groups under their company’s offerings, including speaking.

Why does life coaching produce such rapid changes?

Change can be scary, but you’re not alone. Life coaching at its core is about change, the change we are looking for in ourselves. Life coaching helps you unmask what you dislike about your current lifestyle and figure out how we can maneuver to help you climb to your higher self while continuing to build upon small wins step by step. My approach, particular, ensures accountability, objectivity, and of the process, which are crucial for establishing long-term lifestyle habits.
